Liz Borghero - Visual Artist
Liz Borghero completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts {Sculpture} at The National Art School Sydney.
She had previously studied painting at The Queensland Institute of Technology and has also completed an Advanced Diploma in ceramics at Gymea TAFE.
Liz has exhibited in numerous exhibitions of ceramics, painting and sculpture. She has been selected as a finalist in several competitions and has won awards for her work.
Her work is concerned with impermanence, weathering, and the relationship of the elements with the landscape. Liz approaches her subject matter from multiple perspectives, based on extensive artistic experience in various disciplines. Consequently she produces a diverse body of work.
Along with the more traditional mediums of oil, paint and clay, Liz also works with recycled and natural materials such as twigs, leaves, sand, found wood and recycled cans. She manipulates these materials to construct fluid, textural, abstract landscapes that invite the viewer into the mesmerizing world of the patterns and processes of nature.
Liz's work can be viewed on the 1st Sunday of every month in the Bundeena/Maianbar Art Trail. Check the Art Trail website here for confirmation.
